Taylor Ward Will Be Back In Wednesday's Lineup
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels manager Phil Nevin told reporters following Tuesday's 4-0 victory over the Boston Red Sox that outfielder Taylor Ward will return to the starting lineup on Wednesday to face left-hander James Paxton, leaving Mickey Moniak on the bench. It's been a rough season so far for the 29-year-old, who's struggled to a .231 average with four homers, 28 runs, 17 RBI, and one stolen base over 47 games. Ward sat the bench the last three games in favor of Moniak, who's been on a tear, posting a 1.373 OPS across 10 games since he was promoted. Fantasy managers should expect Ward to continue facing lefties, but his value is severely limited if he keeps losing playing time with right-handers on the mound.
