3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Taylor Ward was removed in the ninth inning of Friday's game against the Oakland Athletics with an undisclosed injury. The 28-year-old ran into the wall in right field while making a catch. He was looked at by a trainer for a few minutes before walking off the field with the trainer. After the game, Angels manager Joe Maddon stated that Ward was being evaluated and that he wasn't sure of what the nature of the injury was. Ward is off to a phenomenal start to the 2022 season, slashing .370/.481/.713 with nine home runs, 23 RBI and 27 runs over just 30 games. He should be considered day-to-day at this point until we hear more.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
