Taylor Trammell, Ty France Highlight Haul For Mariners In Seven-Player Deal
4 years agoThe Seattle Mariners acquired prospect outfielder Taylor Trammell, infielder Ty France, catcher Luis Torrens and reliever Andres Munoz (elbow) ahead of Monday’s trade deadline. In exchange, the Friars receive catcher Austin Nola and relievers Austin Adams and Dan Altavilla. Trammell, MLB’s No. 61 overall prospect, was the key piece and appears ready for a major league call-up. Blocked in San Diego, his fantasy stock gets a major boost with the move. A former top draft pick, Trammell tallied a .689 OPS in Double-A last year. The 26-year-old France plays multiple positions and had posted an .868 OPS with two homers in 61 plate appearances. His playing time should also increase in Seattle. Munoz, a 21-year-old fireballer is recovering from Tommy John surgery but recorded a 3.91 ERA and 31 percent strikeout rate across 23 frames in 2019. He’s just a stash in dynasty leagues.
