Taylor Rogers Secures 11th Save
3 years agoSan Diego Padres reliever Taylor Rogers collected his 11th save of the season on Thursday as his club defeated the Marlins 2-1. The southpaw picked up two strikeouts in the perfect frame, throwing 15 pitches as he still sits with a clean 0.00 ERA on the year. Rogers has a sharp 12/1 K/BB to go along with a 0.43 WHIP through his first 12 appearances with his new team as the late spring training deal with the Twins is providing massive dividends already. He should remain a lock for nearly all the save opportunities for the Friars the rest of the way, making him a top-tier reliever in all formats that count saves.
