Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers picked up his sixth hold of the season in Saturday's win over the Kansas City Royals. Rogers entered the game in the eighth inning and worked an easy inning, fanning two batters and needing just 12 pitches to navigate the frame. The veteran southpaw has been perhaps the most valuable reliever out of the Minnesota bullpen this season, as he owns a 2.70 ERA and a career-high 34.1 percent strikeout rate. With four saves and six holds, Rogers is one of manager Rocco Baldelli's most trusted relievers. He should continue to operate in high-leverage situations and is currently in a closer committee with Hansel Robles.--Tim Capurso

San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Taylor Rogers succeeded in getting the final out of a one-run game against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. Rogers was tasked with getting the Giants out of a two-out, runner-on-first situation after Camilo Doval gave up four runs in a disastrous outing. Fortunately, Rogers was up to the task. He now has a 3.06 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, and could be the next man up for saves given Doval's recent struggles. The Giants bullpen has a lot of good options, though, so it wouldn't be a given that Rogers would assume the closer role. It is a situation to keep an eye on for fantasy managers looking to shore up their bullpens.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

San Francisco Giants reliever Taylor Rogers recorded his first save of the season in the Giants' 5-2 win over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. Rogers inherited two runners in the 11th inning with one out and caught Jazz Chisholm looking on strikes, followed by a hit batsman and ground out to complete the save. The 32-year-old has been struggling since the beginning of the season despite a small sample size, but Wednesday's outing is a step in the right direction. In 4 2/3 innings of work, Rogers owns a horrid 13.50 ERA, 2.36 WHIP, with three strikeouts. The Colorado native hasn't had enough opportunities to make amends for his poor performance on the mound, but it's still early on the season and Rogers has plenty of time to find his groove. In 2022, the southpaw posted a 4.76 ERA (3.31 FIP), 1.181 WHIP, and a 30.7% strikeout rate across 64 1/3 innings.--Rephael Negnewitzky

San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Taylor Rogers was asked to take the mound in the ninth inning during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. The left-hander was able to get through all three of the batters he faced and earn his first save of the season. Normally, Camilo Doval is the primary closer, but he received the day off after struggling during his last outing. The expectation is that Doval will remain the team's closer. However, it wouldn't be shocking to see Rogers get a few more chances whenever Doval isn't available.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

The San Francisco Giants and free-agent left-handed reliever Taylor Rogers agreed to a three-year, $33 million deal, pending a physical, on Friday, according to a source. Rogers will reunite with his brother Tyler in the Giants bullpen in 2023. The 32-year-old southpaw spent the 2022 season with the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers, posting a career-high 4.76 ERA (3.31 FIP), a 1.18 WHIP, a career-high 31 saves and a career-high 36 percent strikeout rate in 64 1/3 relief innings. Rogers had a bit of bad luck last year and should bounce back, although he won't be guaranteed save chances in San Francisco, as Camilo Doval should enter the 2023 campaign as the team's first option to close out games. Still, Rogers should be a high-leverage reliever for the Gigantes and should have appeal in holds leagues as a setup man with strikeout upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
