Taylor Rogers Receives Cortisone Injection
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers left-handed reliever Taylor Rogers (knee) had a cortisone shot in his left knee over the weekend, which is why he was unavailable to pitch on Tuesday night in the win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Rogers should be good to go soon. With Devin Williams also unavailable after a heavy recent workload, right-hander Matt Bush came on for the save. In his two outings since being traded from the San Diego Padres, Rogers has allowed a run on two hits while striking out three and walking one in two innings. The 31-year-old southpaw has 28 saves on the season, but in Milwaukee he'll mostly be working as the eighth-inning setup man in front of Williams, which makes him a lot less attractive in fantasy baseball leagues.
