Taylor Rogers Picks Up Second Save
4 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers notched his second save of the season in Monday's 6-5 win over Texas. Rogers allowed his first earned runs of the season on a two-run shot to Joey Gallo but still held on to lock down the victory for Minnesota. The southpaw has now seen each of the last two save chances for the Twins since Alex Colome was demoted from the ninth-inning role and has a real chance to hold onto the gig if he can keep converting those opportunities. Colome should still be expected to handle the ninth in tandem with Rogers once again at some point, though the latter is the favorite for saves in Minnesota right now.
