Taylor Rogers Picks Up Fourth Save
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers notched his fourth save of the season in a shaky performance against the Kansas City Royals. Rogers got into some trouble at first, allowing a leadoff double followed by a home run to Adalberto Mondesi. The lefty then retired the next three batters in a row with a pair of strikeouts to earn the save. Each of the Twins' ninth-inning options has had their troubles this season, though Rogers, along with Hansel Robles, has the best underlying numbers of the bunch. Rogers has worked two of the last three save chances but will likely continue to be a matchup-based option for saves alongside Robles in the Twins' bullpen.
