Taylor Rogers Earns League-Best 14th Save Tuesday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres closer Taylor Rogers earned his 14th save of the season in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Phillies. Rogers entered the game to pitch the ninth inning with a three-run lead. He struck out Kyle Schwarber, allowed a single, but then got a double-play ball to end the game. Rogers has been fantastic since joining the Padres and is now tied with Josh Hader for the most saves in baseball. He owns an immaculate 0.56 ERA with 18 strikeouts and two walks over 16 innings pitched.
