Taylor Rogers Earns Fourth Save On Tuesday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins reliever Taylor Rogers pitched a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 3-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday. Rogers made it interesting, as he had to work around two singles in the frame. The left-hander is now a perfect 4-for-4 in save chances with a 1.72 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 22 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings of work. Blake Parker has operated as the Twins primary closer this season, but manager Rocco Baldelli has occasionally called upon Rogers when the matchups dictate. Rogers is a solid fantasy reliever, especially in saves/holds leagues.
