Taylor Rogers Blows Save Saturday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers blew the save in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers. Rogers was looking to preserve a one-run lead in the eighth inning and quickly got a strikeout but allowed an RBI single- and then another bloop base hit, which won the game for Detroit. The southpaw has now blown two straight saves despite his strong supporting metrics, raising his season ERA to 3.52. Rogers possesses an outstanding 56:8 strikeout-to-walk ratio but has limited fantasy upside right now, with just one save and one hold in July.
