Outside of his last two starts, Taylor Pendrith has been solid in 2025. He has three top-15 finishes and has made the cut in five out of seven events. While his showing was not great in the Arnold Palmer Invitational this past weekend, conditions were not ideal, and overall, the course played more challenging than usual. Making just his fourth appearance in the PLAYERS Championship, Pendrith has made the cut twice and fell short of it in last year's showing. Precision from tee to green is the key to solid play at the stadium course. He ranks 27th in driving accuracy, 4th in greens in regulation percentage, and 56th in strokes gained approach to green. His game has come into form, and it's possible to see him in contention over the weekend in the mix. Having him in your lineup in DFS formats this week wouldn't be a bad idea.

After posting three top-15 finishes in his first four events of the year, Taylor Pendrith has since recorded a T50 at the Genesis Invitational and a missed cut at last week's Cognizant Classic. A major issue has been his short game, where he has lost a combined 12.1 strokes around the green and putting over his last three events. Pendrith now looks to the Arnold Palmer Invitational to get back on track, though his past performances here have been underwhelming, with a missed cut in 2023 and a T42 in 2022. However, he has the tools to succeed, ranking fourth in total driving and 56th in strokes gained on approach. He is also 25th on tour in proximity from 200-plus yards, a distance that accounts for 31.7% of approach shots at this course. Pendrith is usually one of the better putters on tour, but he has struggled with his flat stick this year, losing strokes in every start and a total of 11.815 strokes putting. Fantasy managers will need to hope this is the week he turns it around before adding him to their lineups at his $7,900 price tag on DraftKings.

Knowing what to do with Taylor Pendrith as the PGA Tour heads to Florida is tough. The Canadian had a good run on the West Coast, including two top-10s and a top-15 in five starts. However, his success has lived and died by the ball striking, as he's lost strokes on the greens in four of five events. What's more concerning is that the T50 in the Genesis Invitational a couple of weeks ago was because the 33-year-old lost strokes in every metric besides off the tee (+1.28). That won't be enough to get around PGA National unscathed, and if he doesn't find a way to crack the top 15 in the field in strokes gained on approach, he probably won't do much for DFS lineups.

Taylor Pendrith finished tied for ninth at the ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am two weeks ago and is back in action this week for the Genesis Invitational, taking place at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California. Torrey Pines also hosted the Farmers Insurance Open last month, where Pendrith finished tied for seventh. In his first four appearances of the 2025 season, Pendrith has three top-15 finishes, including two in the top 10. He has performed exceptionally well so far this season and could be a strong addition to DFS lineups this week.
