Taylor Pendrith Looking To Fix Short-Game Woes At Arnold Palmer
9 hours agoAfter posting three top-15 finishes in his first four events of the year, Taylor Pendrith has since recorded a T50 at the Genesis Invitational and a missed cut at last week's Cognizant Classic. A major issue has been his short game, where he has lost a combined 12.1 strokes around the green and putting over his last three events. Pendrith now looks to the Arnold Palmer Invitational to get back on track, though his past performances here have been underwhelming, with a missed cut in 2023 and a T42 in 2022. However, he has the tools to succeed, ranking fourth in total driving and 56th in strokes gained on approach. He is also 25th on tour in proximity from 200-plus yards, a distance that accounts for 31.7% of approach shots at this course. Pendrith is usually one of the better putters on tour, but he has struggled with his flat stick this year, losing strokes in every start and a total of 11.815 strokes putting. Fantasy managers will need to hope this is the week he turns it around before adding him to their lineups at his $7,900 price tag on DraftKings.
