Taylor Montgomery A Player To Fade In Memphis
1 year agoTaylor Montgomery got off to a red-hot start in his rookie PGA Tour season, posting eight top-20 finishes with zero missed cuts in his first 10 starts. But his recent cooldown has been equally noteworthy, as he's coming off of four-straight missed cuts and six-straight events where he's lost an average of 4.6 strokes ball-striking. Montgomery is the best bermuda putter in the field over the last 36 rounds, but he ranks dead last in strokes gained off the tee, driving accuracy, and from tee-to-green. He also ranks 67th in scrambling and 69th in bogey avoidance. This is a recipe for disaster at TPC Southwind, so fantasy managers should steer clear of Montgomery and look for cost savings elsewhere toward the bottom of the board.
