4 years agoBoston Bruins forward Taylor Hall registered a pair of goals to help elevate his team to a 3-2 overtime victory over the New York Islanders on Monday night. Hall opened the scoring with a power-play marker with less than a minute remaining in the first period and then sent his team home with the full two points on a beautiful individual effort in the extra frame. After registering two goals in 37 games with the Sabres prior to getting traded to Boston at the deadline, Hall has exploded for 14 points (eight goals, six assists), a plus-15 rating and 48 shots in 16 games with the Bruins. He's proving to be an excellent fit on the team's second line alongside center David Krejci and should be a daily fantasy target each night he suits up.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller

3 months agoChicago Blackhawks left wing Taylor Hall had a hand in both goals as the team shocked the New York Rangers on Monday with a 2-1 win at Madison Square Garden. Hall helped Tyler Bertuzzi start the scoring in the contest in the first period, and he netted a goal himself with his only shot on target in the second frame. It was Hall's third multi-point performance of the season. The former MVP tends to come alive occasionally, but his work overall has been lacking. Through 27 outings, Hall has registered six goals and six assists. He's yet to find the score sheet in back-to-back games this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

4 months agoChicago Blackhawks left wing Taylor Hall regained his MVP form for one night as he netted his fifth career hat trick in Wednesday's 6-2 win over Dallas. Hall started the damage just 17 seconds into the game and already had two goals inside six minutes. He hadn't scored three goals in a single game since 2013. The 2018 Hart Trophy winner has had a difficult time in recent years, and his production has been lacking in 2024-25 as well, even leading to Hall sitting as a healthy scratch. He's on nine points (five goals, four assists) in 21 games and belongs on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

6 months agoChicago Blackhawks left wing Taylor Hall (knee) will be a full participant in training camp, the team announced on Tuesday. Hall's 2023-24 season ended with knee surgery in November after he had played only 10 games. The veteran star posted two goals and two assists. After also having a nightmare in 2022-23 with Boston, scoring 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in 61 games, Hall must be very eager to prove his worth this season, especially as this is a contract year for him. Hall is projected to start the campaign on the second line and should feature heavily on the power play.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

7 months agoChicago Blackhawks left wing Taylor Hall (knee) is looking to produce a strong bounce-back year following an injury-hit 2023-24 campaign. "I'm really confident I'll be a solid contributor for the Blackhawks this year," Hall told Ben Pope of The Chicago Sun-Times. "What makes me say that is the hockey I've played and the preparation I've done this summer. ... I know I can be a difference-maker for our team." The former MVP was limited to only 10 appearances in his debut season with the Blackhawks. He suffered a shoulder injury in only the second game of the season and an ACL injury in November, which ended his campaign. Hall's fantasy stock has plummeted in recent years, but he aims to become a 30-goal scorer again and should be motivated by the fact that it's a contract year for him. --Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
