5 years agoArizona Coyotes forward Taylor Hall buried a rebound opportunity but his team eventually fell 4-2 to the visiting Dallas Stars on Sunday. Skating in just his second game at Gila River Arena since getting traded on December 16th, Hall notched his fourth point in six games with his new club and also added four shots and four hits in 20:39 of ice time in the contest. While the move has yet to work out in the standings (just two wins in six games), the 28-year-old has looked great on the Yotes' top line and first power-play unit thus far. With 29 points (eight goals, 21 assists), 12 power-play points and 126 shots on goal through 36 games, Hall remains a must-start fantasy option and should continue to produce as he gets more comfortable in his new environment. He'll lace up the skates again versus the Blues on Tuesday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller

3 months agoChicago Blackhawks left wing Taylor Hall had a hand in both goals as the team shocked the New York Rangers on Monday with a 2-1 win at Madison Square Garden. Hall helped Tyler Bertuzzi start the scoring in the contest in the first period, and he netted a goal himself with his only shot on target in the second frame. It was Hall's third multi-point performance of the season. The former MVP tends to come alive occasionally, but his work overall has been lacking. Through 27 outings, Hall has registered six goals and six assists. He's yet to find the score sheet in back-to-back games this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

4 months agoChicago Blackhawks left wing Taylor Hall regained his MVP form for one night as he netted his fifth career hat trick in Wednesday's 6-2 win over Dallas. Hall started the damage just 17 seconds into the game and already had two goals inside six minutes. He hadn't scored three goals in a single game since 2013. The 2018 Hart Trophy winner has had a difficult time in recent years, and his production has been lacking in 2024-25 as well, even leading to Hall sitting as a healthy scratch. He's on nine points (five goals, four assists) in 21 games and belongs on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

6 months agoChicago Blackhawks left wing Taylor Hall (knee) will be a full participant in training camp, the team announced on Tuesday. Hall's 2023-24 season ended with knee surgery in November after he had played only 10 games. The veteran star posted two goals and two assists. After also having a nightmare in 2022-23 with Boston, scoring 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in 61 games, Hall must be very eager to prove his worth this season, especially as this is a contract year for him. Hall is projected to start the campaign on the second line and should feature heavily on the power play.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

7 months agoChicago Blackhawks left wing Taylor Hall (knee) is looking to produce a strong bounce-back year following an injury-hit 2023-24 campaign. "I'm really confident I'll be a solid contributor for the Blackhawks this year," Hall told Ben Pope of The Chicago Sun-Times. "What makes me say that is the hockey I've played and the preparation I've done this summer. ... I know I can be a difference-maker for our team." The former MVP was limited to only 10 appearances in his debut season with the Blackhawks. He suffered a shoulder injury in only the second game of the season and an ACL injury in November, which ended his campaign. Hall's fantasy stock has plummeted in recent years, but he aims to become a 30-goal scorer again and should be motivated by the fact that it's a contract year for him. --Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
