Taylor Decker Says Lions Offensive Line Will Be Better
6 years agoThe Detroit Lions first-team offensive line allowed four sacks, six quarterback hits and nine hurries on Friday against the New York Giants. The Lions were missing starting right guard T.J. Lang. However, tackle Taylor Decker believes there will be improvement. "Week to week you can always try to improve upon little things and I think that'll be our focus," Decker said. Over the span of just two preseason games, the offensive line has allowed eight sacks and 14 quarterback hits. These two line performances are worrisome, since head coach Matt Patricia stated they want to rely on quarterback Matthew Stafford less and run more. It will be hard to rely on Stafford at all if he is spending so much time on the ground.
