Tanner Scott Takes Loss Monday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Tanner Scott fell to 2-3 in Monday's 8-3 loss to the Twins. Scott came in to pitch the eighth inning up by one run. He allowed a leadoff walk, threw a wild pitch to advance the runner to second, got a strikeout, and allowed a single to put runners on first and third before being removed from the game. Cesar Valdez allowed both of Scott's runners to score, bringing his final stat line to 1/3 of an inning pitched with two runs allowed on a hit and a walk with one strikeout. Scott has had decent numbers out of the bullpen this season, posting a 3.93 ERA with nine holds and an 11.29 K/9 rate. However, his 8.35 BB/9 rate limits his fantasy value even in save/holds leagues.
