2 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Tanner Scott earned his 17th save of the season in Monday's 3-0 win over the Padres. Scott came in to close things out with a three-run lead. He got the first two outs on a groundout and a flyout, allowed a walk and a single, but then got the final out on a lineout. Scott hasn't been particularly effective this season but has converted 17 of 22 save opportunities and appears to be the team's preferred option to close games out for now. As such, Scott is worth a roster spot in at least roto leagues for managers who can stomach his 4.50 ERA and 6.56 BB/9 rate.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
