Tanner Roark Snaps Losing Streak with his Ninth Quality Start of 2018
6 years agoAfter losing his last four decisions, Washington Nationals starter Tanner Roark finally got back in the win column again on Wednesday afternoon, throwing his ninth quality start of the season to pick up his third win. Roark allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work. With nine quality starts now, Roark is two behind Max Scherzer for the team lead and is tied for sixth most in all of baseball this year. While Roark's 7.6 K/9 is down slightly from last year's career-best 8.2 K/9, he is still one of the most solid starters to own in fantasy leagues and should be a definite must-own in leagues that count quality starts.
