1 year agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Tanner Houck (face) was discharged from the hospital on Saturday. The 26-year-old exited Friday's meeting with the Yankees after taking a hit to the face. The team initially believed he suffered a facial contusion. However, further tests revealed a fracture. Houck, who is 3-6 in 13 starts with a 5.05 ERA this season, will meet with specialists next week to determine the course of action. But considering the severity of the injury, he may be heading for the injured list.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
