Tanner Gordon Set To Rejoin Rotation On Saturday
3 months agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Tanner Gordon is set to return to the starting rotation on Saturday evening against the San Diego Padres. Gordon has made three starts this season and held a high 8.80 ERA, 1.76 WHIP, and a 2:12 BB:K ratio. At Triple-A this summer, Gordon has held a 4.89 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. The right-hander was optioned back to Triple-A last week but is already on his way back to the big leagues. If Gordon could settle in, he could claim the final spot in the Rockies rotation, especially while German Marquez (elbow) is on the 15-day IL. Gordon is best to fade in DFS this afternoon against the Padres, but could be worth a look in favorable matchups going forward in NL-only formats.
