Tanner Bibee Looking To Remain In Cruise Control Thursday
1 year agoCleveland Guardians pitcher Tanner Bibee is looking to stay hot on Thursday as he takes on the Chicago White Sox opposite right-hander Dylan Cease. Bibee has been on an absolute tear, tossing 29 2/3 innings of four-run ball over his last five starts, striking out 34 batters in that time. He is coming off his best start as a big-leaguer, throwing seven shutout frames while allowing just two hits and a walk against eight strikeouts in a winning effort against the Phillies his last time out. The heater has lowered the 24-year-old's ERA to 3.04 on the season, although regression could rear its head moving forward considering his 4.19 SIERA is sitting more than a full run above his surface ERA. He will take on a White Sox offense that sits 27th with a .292 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season.
