7 years agoTampa Bay Rays super prospect outfielder Garrett Whitley will miss the entire 2018 season after surgery to repair a torn right labrum. He is the 2015 first-round draft pick and is considered a five-tool player. Last season he had 13 HR and 21 steals in Class-A. He has been slowed by a previous injury in 2016 when he suffered a hamstring injury. He may turn into a future star but for now, he is not close to making the majors. Outside of very deep dynasty formats, he is not much of a factor yet.--Jamie Mellor
