Tampa Bay Acquires Jeremy Hazelbaker
7 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays acquired outfielder Jeremy Hazelbaker from Arizona for cash considerations Tuesday. He spent 10 seasons in the minors before having limited success in the majors between 2016 and 2017. Over those two seasons, he hit .258/.327/.500 (65-for-252) with nine doubles, five triples, 14 home runs and 38 RBI in 155 games (45 starts). He has become one of the more notable power pinch-hitters, as he is third in HRs (four) and fourth in slugging percentage (.526) among players with 50 plate appearances over the last two seasons. He is more of a depth and pinch-hitting addition for the Rays than he is currently a fantasy consideration.
