Taj Gibson Posts Nice Looking Double-Double In Losing Effort
7 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves power forward Taj Gibson ended a 10-game streak without a double-double on Thursday, getting 17 points and 14 rebounds against the Nuggets. It also could've been an even bigger night for him if he hadn't struggled from the field, making only six of 15 attempts. Gibson is usually very efficient, shooting 57.7 percent for the season, so the performance around the rim was disappointing, but he at least showed some good signs of life by ending the double-double drought. He could be out looking for one on Friday as well, with the Lakers allowing 12.2 rebounds per 48 minutes to power forwards, which is the worst mark in the league.
