Taj Bradley Bounces Back On Saturday With Five Innings Of One-Run Ball
5 months agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Taj Bradley bounced back on Saturday with five innings of one-run ball against his division rival Baltimore Orioles. He struck out nine and allowed just three hits and one free pass, which is a great sign, as the young right-hander allowed nine runs and nine hits against this same Baltimore team last week. The 23-year-old has allowed two runs or less in three starts out of five he has made this season but still has inflated ratios due to his other poor outings. Despite his blow-up starts, Bradley is still striking out batters at an elite 28.6% mark, which is significantly above average. Bradley is scheduled to make his next start on May 13 in a favorable matchup against the struggling Chicago Cubs.
