During this surge, Thompson has found the back of the net seven times. Over his last seven contests, Thompson has scored an impressive nine goals and added one helper. Despite Buffalo's struggles this season, the former 26th overall pick has enjoyed an impressive campaign, reaching the 40-goal mark for the second time in his career.
