T.Y. Hilton Proves Vital to Colts Trouncing the Texans
6 years agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught five of his ten targets for 85 yards in a 21-7 win over the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card Round on Saturday. In a game that quickly turned away from the pass once the Colts accumulated a 21-0 lead by half time, Hilton led the team in both receptions and targets while being the dominant receiving threat he tends to be against his AFC South rival. That said, four of Hilton's five receptions came in the first half and he was largely quiet thereafter apart from a 20 yard catch in the fourth quarter. The good news for fantasy owners is that Hilton didn't appear to be hobbled by the ankle injury he was dealing with earlier in the week, increasing the odds of him playing against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round. In that matchup, Hilton will have plenty of upside and likely avoid an unfavorable game script given how the Chiefs have given up at least 24 points in four of their last five games. As a WR2 with WR1 upside, fantasy owners should take a long look at Hilton to plug into their lineups.
