T.J. McConnell Goes For 16 Points Off The Bench
6 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard T.J. McConnell finished Friday's 123-121 loss against the Atlanta Hawks with 16 points in 34 minutes off the bench, going a very efficient 7-for-8 from the field. Perhaps his biggest contribution didn't appear on the stat sheet, however, as he pulled Jimmy Butler away from a potential fracas after an elbow from Atlanta's Alex Len. After exchanging words with Len, Butler was grabbed by the right shoulder and pulled to safety far from any trouble. The situation was reviewed and Len received a flagrant foul, and McConnell picked up an unscored assist.
