T.J. Hockenson Not A Recommended Week 8 Option
5 years agoDetroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson has all but cemented himself as a weekly boom-or-bust candidate, at best, as he has yet to eclipse the 32-yard receiving mark since posting a monster 131-yard Week 1 performance. The Lions may choose to air the ball out more often going forward with running back Kerryon Johnson (knee) recently being placed on IR, and wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones figure to be the biggest beneficiaries if that proves to be the case. Hockenson will face a Giants secondary that has allowed just two scores to opposing tight ends so far this season, with none of them surpassing 66 receiving yards, so fantasy owners may want to look elsewhere to fill their tight end slot this week.
