Sungjae Im Is a Great Pivot Play At the Northern Trust
3 years agoWhile most fantasy managers think to only deploy Sungjae Im on short Bermuda-grass courses, or in the state of Florida, I do not think he should be overlooked this week. The former Honda Classic winner is coming off a performance at the Wyndham Championship where he gained 4.6 strokes on approach and 3.2 strokes off the tee to finish only four strokes out of the playoff. Im lost 2.4 strokes putting that week, yet his long term putting form is excellent. If he rolls it anything close to his baseline, he is right in the mix last week. Fantasy managers can capitalize on an ownership discount because Liberty National isn't a "Sungjae" course, but that line of thinking is really selling him short. We are still talking about a player who finished runner-up at the Masters, on Bent-grass greens.
