Sungjae Im Finding His Footing At The Perfect Time
1 year agoIt's been a turbulent few months for the South Korean superstar, as Sungjae Im went from one of the most consistent golfers on Tour to start the year, into a three-month spell with no finish better than 20th. Things seem to be turning around for Im, however, as since the calendar has flipped to August, he's put together finishes of 6th, 7th, and 14th while enjoying his best ball-striking run since early April. Eastlake is a perfect venue to keep the train rolling, as Sungjae registered the second-best 72-hole score in 2022's TOUR Championship. Eastlake's emphasis on precise ball striking should suit Sungjae's game to a tee, and we wouldn't be at all surprised to see him carry his momentum from 2022 into this year's iteration.
