Stuart Skinner Exits Early On Thursday
1 day agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner (concussion) was removed from Thursday's contest by a concussion spotter. The 26-year-old only missed the final five minutes of the contest. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status leading up to their next game on Saturday against the Seattle Kraken. Before exiting, Skinner stopped 13 of the 16 shots he saw. He was replaced by Calvin Pickard. If Skinner were to miss any significant period of time, Pickard would operate as the clear top goaltender in the Edmonton crease. Over his past eight games before Thursday, Skinner carried a 3.01 GAA with an .889 save percentage. During this stretch, he held a 3-4 record. Pickard has held a modest .900 save percentage with a 3.13 GAA over his last six appearances.

Stuart Skinner Available On Saturday
21 hours agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner (concussion) is available for Saturday's tilt against the Seattle Kraken. He was pulled by the concussion spotter on Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets, but Skinner is considered "fine." Skinner's recent performances have not been up to par, so he may still sit out Saturday's game as Calvin Pickard's backup. Since the beginning of February, Skinner has collected only four victories. He owns a 23-17-4 record for the year, allowing 2.85 goals with a .896 save percentage and two shutouts. Pickard has gone 3-1-1 over his past five appearances.

Stuart Skinner Facing Buffalo On Monday
2 weeks agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner will get the starting nod on Monday evening against the Buffalo Sabres. Skinner has won each of his previous two starts. During this stretch, Skinner has held a .885 save percentage and allowed six total goals. However, before this win streak, Skinner held a poor .863 save percentage with a 0-3 record over his previous five outings. Through 43 total contests, Skinner has held a 22-15-4 record with a modest 2.87 GAA and a .897 save percentage. He has posted two shutouts and has only allowed one or less goals in eight of his contests. However, despite his inconsistent production, the 26-year-old has a great opportunity to stay in the win column facing the Sabres who currently sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Stuart Skinner Tries To Frustrate Colorado Again
1 month agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner will look to make it a hat trick of wins against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. He has posted a 2-0-0 record against Colorado in 2024-25, allowing 2.00 goals with a .925 save percentage. Although Skinner has dropped three of his last five decisions, he still owns a strong record, as the 26-year-old is 20-12-4 for the campaign. Edmonton's No. 1 sits on two shutouts and has allowed 2.68 goals with a .902 save percentage. With the NHL's top scorer, Nathan MacKinnon, leading the charge, Colorado has one of the most potent offenses in the league. However, Skinner appears to thrive in this matchup.

Stuart Skinner Blanks Los Angeles
2 months agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner blanked the Los Angeles Kings on Monday evening. Skinner stopped all 30 shots he faced. This was only the fifth time this season Skinner stopped at least 30 shots in a single contest. This was a nice bounce back for Skinner as he allowed five goals in his previous start against the Pittsburgh Penguins last Thursday evening. However, before this poor outing, Skinner was riding a three-game win streak and held a .963% SV and 1.03 GAA over that stretch. Overall, across 29 contests this season, the 25-year-old has posted a 17-9-3 with a 2.68 GAA and a .902% SV. Skinner will look to stay hot in his next outing Wednesday evening against the Minnesota Wild.
