Stewart Cink has had a disappointing start to the new year. Although he made the cut at The Sony Open, he lost strokes from tee-to-green and on approach. At the Sentry Tournament of Champions, Cink lost 1.1 strokes total. Last year's winner of The RBC Heritage, Cink has had a hard time returning to the form that he had last spring. He has not had a top-10 finish since Hilton Head. Cink does not have good course history at Pebble Beach, either. It could be because of his putting ability on Poa surfaces. In his career, Cink has gained strokes putting on every surface except Poa. Due to these factors, it may be wise to fade Cink in DFS this week.--Rob Giltner - RotoBaller

Stewart Cink has a rather steady set of results at this venue. A T7, T71, T31, and T27 are his last finishes at the Valspar. At his price point he is cheap enough to ignore the poor run of form he has displayed leading up to the final event of the Florida swing. Cink is one of the many golfers who has been outclassed in the elevated events like the Players and Arnold Palmer Invitational. He will be looking to take advantage of a much weaker field at a course that has been friendly to him in the past. --Byron Lindeque

Stewart Cink could not make many birdies overseas last week at The Open. His opening-round 78 proved to be an early demise as the American missed the cut. He did make four birdies on Friday to go along with three bogeys. The problem for the 49-year old golfer is strokes gained around the green. He loses nearly one third of a shot which ranks just 186th on tour. There are some other ugly numbers but that one sticks out. When everything else is nearly average, that makes Cink a less than recommended option even at the 3M Open.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Stewart Cink played better than his 21st-place finish last week. Cink gained 2.7 strokes from tee to green while also gaining strokes on approach and off the tee. The 48-year-old American tries to play The Sony Open every year and has found success at Waialae. The winner of the RBC Heritage last year, Cink ranks 13th in strokes gained total at Waialae. Cink is underpriced and likely will be under-owned across the industry. He is a recommended sleeper play in GPPs.--Rob Giltner - RotoBaller

Stewart Cink struggled in the fall swing with three missed cuts and a 49th-place finish at The CJ Cup. A lot of Cink's struggles come from his issues off the tee, where he currently ranks 225th on tour. The Plantation Course at Kapalua has wide forgiving fairways that could negate Cink's off-the-tee performance. Cink does excel on approach with his wedges, which he should find plenty of this week. Cink is priced near the bottom on multiple sites and will likely have low ownership, making him a good sleeper for GPPs.--Rob Giltner - RotoBaller
