7 years agoRecently-acquired Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Steven Souza is looking to cut back on his strikeouts for the upcoming season. Prior to last season's breakout, Souza had a career strikeout rate of 33.7 percent, which he cut by five percent in 2017. Souza believes an improved approach with two strikes will help him make further strides at the plate. Spring results have been encouraging, as Souza's contact rate has improved while only striking out in 20 percent of his plate appearances. In an improved lineup, Souza can provide owners with 25-30 home run power and 20 steals near the tail end of drafts.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer
