Steven Souza Jr. To Undergo Season-Ending Surgery
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Steven Souza Jr. is out for the season after suffering a freak knee injury on Monday night. He will undergo surgery to repair an ACL tear, LCL tear, partial PCL tear, and posterior lateral capsule tear in his left knee. He was a reliable fantasy asset in the 2017 season, but the 29-year-old only managed to appear in 72 games in 2018 after dealing with a multitude of injuries. It is an unfortunate ailment for fantasy managers as Souza was expected to bat in the heart of the Diamondbacks order. In his absence, Adam Jones will become an everyday player in the outfield and is a worthy flier in the later rounds of the draft.
