Steven Matz Guides Mets Past Dodgers
6 years agoSuddenly the most reliable starter in the New York Mets rotation, Steven Matz delivered another quality start Tuesday night in Los Angeles as his club defeated the Dodgers. The Stony Brook native went six innings, allowing just two runs across six innings of work. He struck out six and allowed three walks, surrendering both runs in the third inning. At the plate Matz helped his own cause, recording a hit and scoring a run. With Noah Syndergaard and Jacob deGrom struggling to find their form, Matz has turned into the most reliable starter in the rotation presently.
