Sterling Shepard Will Look To Continue Strong Start In Week 2
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard caught 7-of-9 targets for 113 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 27-13 Week 1 loss to the Denver Broncos. He led the Giants in targets, catches, and receiving yards in Week 1. Can he repeat his stellar performance in Week 2? Shepard will draw a tough matchup against a stingy Washington Football Team defense. The Giants wide receiver is expected to be a top waiver wire priority this week and has at least five targets in 26 of his last 27 games. The 28-year-old continues to have great chemistry with QB Daniel Jones. Shepard owned 26% of the team's target shares, good for 14th among all wide receivers. "He has double-digit fantasy points in 18-of-27 games," according to Field Yates of ESPN. Despite the tough matchup, Shepard should be able to rack up catches on Thursday, making him a solid WR3 in PPR formats.
