3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (quad) returned to practice on Wednesday just as fellow receiver Kadarius Toney missed practice with the same quad injury. It's too early in the week to say if this means Shepard will definitely play and Toney will not, but it is something to monitor. However, the entire outlook for the Giants offense is up in the air after the firing of offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. We'd love to see the Giants open it up more, but the Eagles defense is designed to stop deep passes and funnel production underneath, so that may limit the explosiveness of the offense, regardless of who calls plays on Sunday. Nevertheless, Shepard has been a productive receiver when healthy and should be picked up in all leagues where he is available.--Eric Samulski
