Sterling Shepard Officially Ruled Out For Week 10
5 years agoShepard will remain on the bench for the fifth straight game after failing to clear concussion protocol ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets. Shepard had been trending in the right direction prior to Week 9, but was forced to re-enter concussion protocol prior to the Giants' loss to the Cowboys on Monday night. This is Shepard's second concussion of the season, and as of right now his status remains unclear for the remainder of the season. He will have an extra week to try and clear protocol, as the Giants are on bye in Week 11. In his absence, it will once again be Golden Tate in the slot and Darius Slayton outside. With tight end Evan Engram also out, there should be meaningful snaps for Bennie Fowler and Cody Latimer as well.
