6 years agoNew York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said that wide receiver Sterling Shepard (back) had a procedure to remove a cyst from his lower back. Shepard didn't practice on Wednesday but is expected back later this week. The 25-year-old should be able to play in Week 5 against the Panthers, but keep an eye on his practice status later this week. Shepard has been solid for fantasy owners with 24 catches on 29 targets for 229 yards and two touchdowns through four weeks. With quarterback Eli Manning checking down often, Shepard has been a safety blanket for him, especially with tight end Evan Engram (knee) still out.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
