Sterling Shepard A Sneaky Play In PPR Formats Vs. Denver
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard is projected to lead the team in catches in 2021, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN. "The connection with quarterback Daniel Jones was working," said Raanan. Jones and Shepard have shown great chemistry during camp, and Raanan "wouldn't be the least bit surprised" if the Giants WR led the team in catches. Kenny Golladay (hamstring) and first-round rookie Kadarius Toney (hamstring) missed most of the training camp due to injuries and could not build a rapport with QB Daniel Jones. Shepard owned 23% of the team's target share in 2020, good for 22nd among all wide receivers. The 28-year-old's matchup against the Broncos isn't great, but he should be able to rack up catches through the short-to-intermediate passing game, making him a sneaky flex/WR3 option in PPR formats.
