Sterling Brown Shines In First Rockets Start
4 years agoHouston Rockets shooting guard Sterling Brown took over James Harden's place in the starting lineup and cooked up a nice fantasy line in Thursday's win over San Antonio, recording 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and only one turnover in a team-high 37 minutes. John Wall (knee) and Eric Gordon (leg) also didn't play, which played a part in Brown getting the second-most shots on the team, but he performed very efficiently with a 9-for-17 record from the field and a 3-for-7 success rate from beyond the arc. Brown's has been one of the NBA's best outside shooters this season, nailing 46 percent of his triples. Wall and Gordon shouldn't be long-term absentees and Victor Oladipo has yet to arrive on Houston, so Brown certainly won't be able to keep his offensive numbers up, but he is currently a nice streaming option and a cheap DFS play.
