Stephen Strasburg's Gem Forces Game 7
5 years agoWashington Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg pitched 8 1/3 masterful innings as the Nationals will force a Game in 7 with their 7-2 win over the Astros. Strasburg struck out seven and absolutely shut down a potent Astros lineup after surrendering two runs in the first inning. The imposing right-hander made a run at a complete game but was pulled after 104 pitches. The Nationals now will play a winner-take-all Game 7 thanks to the consistent heroics from Strasburg. He is almost certainly done for the season and finishes the postseason with a sparkling 5-1 record, 1.98 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 36 1/3 innings pitched.
