Stephen Strasburg Takes Home World Series MVP
5 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg pitched two games in this series on the road and won both. He threw 14 1/3 innings and gave up four earned runs with 14 strikeouts. He won this award because of his performance in Game 6, where he pitched into the ninth inning and was nearly perfect after the first. For a guy that’s faced many ups and downs through his career, this has to be the sweetest taste on earth to win a World Series and take home the MVP. The Nationals will rejoice for a few months before locking back into spring training in Palm Beach, FL.
