Stephen Strasburg Strikes Out 10, Tagged with Loss Friday
6 years agoWashington Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg had his third double-digit strikeout performance of the season on Friday night, but a four-run seventh inning led to Strasburg earning his fifth loss of the year. Strasburg struck out 10 over 6 2/3 innings while allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits. He exited the game in the seventh inning with what Mark Zuckerman of MASNsports.com reports as cramping in his left (non-throwing) forearm, but it doesn't appear to be anything serious that should affect him going forward. Strasburg's next start should be an excellent fantasy matchup, as he faces the San Francisco Giants who are third in baseball with 528 team strikeouts.
