Stephen Strasburg Not Expected To Pitch Again In 2022
2 years agoWashington Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg (ribs) is not expected to return in 2022, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post. While he won't need to undergo thoracic outlet surgery once again, he is dealing with a nerve issue that will keep him sidelined for the rest of the year. Strasburg was recently transferred to the 60-day injured list due to a stress reaction in his ribs. The 33-year-old just can't catch a break these days. His 2022 season comes to an end after just one start in which he allowed seven earned runs over 4 2/3 innings.
