Stephen Strasburg Might Miss Less Time Than Expected
6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg (neck) and his fantasy owners got some good news on Monday. According to Jon Heyman, Strasburg — who was originally expected to miss anywhere between six to eight weeks with a pinched nerve in his neck — might return sooner after receiving "a shot to calm down [the] area." Reports after the shot are "positive." Strasburg went on the disabled list on July 25 — the same day he was set to return from his first stint on the disabled list. His ERA stands at 3.90 with a 6-7 record in 2018 while battling injury. Fantasy owners not only hope this news means he will return soon, but that he will return to form when he does.
