Stephen Piscotty To Have Wrist Surgery Friday
3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty (wrist) is scheduled to undergo wrist surgery on Friday morning. Piscotty was sidelined with a left wrist sprain earlier this season and never fully recovered from it, so he'll go back on the shelf for the rest of the 2021 season. The 30-year-old from Stanford went back on the injured list last Saturday and hasn't done much for the A's or fantasy managers, slashing a meager .220/.282/.353 with only five home runs, one stolen base and 16 RBI in 72 games this season. Piscotty should no longer be rostered in any fantasy format and won't be much of an option heading into next season, even in the deepest of leagues.
